How to Fold an Origami Frog? (with Pictures)

Origami frogs are a cherished memory for many of us from our childhood, especially those that can jump. With just a gentle press on its rear end using the index finger, the frog can leap. Today, I'd like to recommend to you all the handicraft method of folding a jumping origami frog. I hope it will be helpful. Come on, let's give it a try together!

Step 1: Fold the square colored paper to create a cross - shaped crease. Then fold it into a double - layer rectangle along the length. For the squares on the left and right sides of the rectangle, fold them respectively to create an 'X' - shaped crease, as shown in Figure 1.

Step 2: Fold the 'X' - shaped creases in Figure 1 inwards to form double - layer triangles. The whole paper will turn into a small square, as shown in Figure 2.

Step 3: On the front side of the paper in Figure 2, fold the four 45 - degree angles towards the horizontal middle line to form triangles. Then fold these triangles in the opposite direction. The parts folded out here will be the frog's limbs and belly, as shown in Figures 3 and 4.

Step 4: Flip the paper - folded piece over. The front side is a flat square. Choose any two adjacent sides of the left or right part and fold them parallel to the diagonal crease to form two right - angled triangles, as shown in Figures 5 and 6.

Step 5: Fold the triangle in Figure 6 to the left to form another triangle, as shown in Figure 7.

Step 6: Flip the paper - folded piece to the back side. Press the vertical crease of the belly inwards. Then flip it back to the front side. Draw this crease with a pen. Next, fold this line parallel to the bottom edge to form a valley - fold state, as shown in Figure 8.

Step 7: Cut out two small circles from white paper. Draw the eyeballs with a pen and fix them in the appropriate positions with white glue. A cute jumping frog is then folded.
